Tax Manager - Generalist
Position Overview
A leading CPA and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their Tampa office. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to work with a nationally recognized firm that combines technical excellence with a culture of collaboration, flexibility, and long-term growth. The Tax Manager will play a key leadership role, overseeing tax engagements, developing team members, and nurturing strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and review the preparation of complex income tax returns, including S-corp, C-corp, trusts, estates, NFPs, and gift tax filings.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing all aspects of engagements from staffing and scheduling to communication and delivery.
Participate in planning and researching complex tax issues, recommending strategic solutions to clients.
Oversee special projects and manage the work of associates and senior associates.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service.
Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand services to existing clients and attract new ones.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
CPA license required.
Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience.
Strong research and analytical skills related to complex tax issues.
Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
Capable of mentoring and guiding team members, even if not direct reports.
