Job Title: Senior Indirect Tax Analyst
Location: Glen Allen, VA (Hybrid)
Salary: $60K - $95K (DOE)

Position Overview
The Senior Indirect Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's indirect tax compliance and planning. This role involves analyzing tax regulations, ensuring compliance with various indirect tax laws, and providing expert guidance on tax strategies to minimize liabilities and risks.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of indirect tax returns, including Sales Tax, Use Tax, Personal Property Tax, and Gross Receipts Tax.
Conduct thorough research and analysis of federal and state indirect tax regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.
Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data for indirect tax reporting and compliance.
Utilize tools such as Avalara, RIA Checkpoint, and Bloomberg for tax research and compliance purposes.
Review and maintain tax-related documentation and records to support compliance and audit requirements.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess the impact on the company's tax position.
Assist in the development and implementation of indirect tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in indirect tax analysis and compliance.
Strong knowledge of indirect tax regulations, including Sales Tax, Use Tax, Personal Property Tax, Gross Receipts Tax, and Federal Excise Tax.
Experience with tax software applications, preferably Avalara and Bloomberg.
Proficient in research tools such as RIA Checkpoint.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
