We are a leading Technical Advisory Firm that provides high-value advisory services to assist companies with technical accounting, IT, Cyber, Privacy and internal control services.

Founded over 20 years ago, we have over 250 professionals in offices in Los Angeles, Orange County and New York City.

 

We are currently seeking experienced Senior Associates - Internal Controls & SOX Advisory to join our team on a hybrid basis (2-3 days a week in office or at clients).

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with project teams to work on internal control advisory and SOX projects
  • Help our clients evaluate risks surrounding internal control over financial reporting
  • Develop trusting relationships with our clients and their auditors by bringing your experience, expertise and perspectives on SOX and Audit Standards
  • Develop materials help our clients perform design and operating effectiveness testing of key controls
  • Assist in the process of providing high-value solutions to our clients to enhance their processes and controls
  • Work across numerous engagement offerings such as control rationalization, process and control assessments and SOX out-sourcing and co-sourcing services

Requirements:
 

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Finance or related
  • 3 years of experience in working with internal controls at public accounting firm or professional services firm with emphasis on risk and compliance consulting related to SOX
  • CPA or CIA highly preferred. (We provide resources and support to allow our team to learn & grow and obtain certifications if you do not yet possess them)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely... also able to assess situations and ensure responses are well suited to various business situations
  • Experience translating complicated issues into simple and easy to understand terms to guide clients and provide information
  • Ability to adjust to unexpected changes in timelines, deadlines and scope of work, and overcome obstacles
