We are a leading manufacturer of process gas compressors and we are continuing to grow. We are looking to add a dedicated Compressor Mechanic Helper to our team. In this role you will support under the direction of the HSS Production Supervisor/Foreman in compressor overhauling and rebuilding. You will preform jobs such as machining on the horizontal milling machine, machining on the lathe, grinding on the Blanchard grinder, drilling and tapping.
Key Responsibilities:
-Overhaul and rebuild compressors
-Set up and operate all of machine shop equipment, produce precision parts as per drawings and specifications.
-Maintain documents and records of repair/overhaul work performed
-Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Keeping equipment clean and in good working condition.
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-General Mechanical knowledge (compressor specific a plus)
-Basic level in Microsoft (Excel and Word)
-Adhere to safety disciplines daily.
-Must have a valid driver's license
-Ability to use precision measuring tools
-Must be able to lift 50lbs
-Stand or sit for extended periods of time
-Full time position
-Shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Must be open to work OT
