We are a small to mid-size electrical contractor based out of Austin, TX. We are actively looking for a new CFO to join our team. Must have construction experience!

Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our company will oversee all financial aspects of the company, providing strategic direction to ensure the financial health of projects. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting, specifically tailored to the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability in the construction sector
Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for construction projects
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards specific to the construction industry
Manage cash flow, financial reporting, and the overall financial health of the organization
Analyze project costs and profitability, focusing on cost to completion, retention, job cost, and revenue
Collaborate with project managers to provide insights on financial performance and cost control measures

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred)
1+ year experience in a senior financial leadership role within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles, particularly in relation to construction-related financial metrics
Experience with financial modeling, analysis, and reporting specific to construction projects
Excellent leadership skills and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
