Accounting Manager

Headquartered in Italy, we are looking for someone out of our Mason, Ohio location! We specialize in our world-know Candy and gum! We have been in business for over 20 years and are continuing to grow and expand our organization! 

Position Overview
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards while providing strategic financial guidance. This role involves managing a team of accountants, preparing financial reports, and coordinating budgeting and forecasting activities to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting processes to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee tax preparation activities.
• Conduct audits and implement improvements in internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and support for management decision-making processes.
• Maintain and improve accounting systems and procedures, including the integration of software solutions like SAP and Quickbooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
• Familiarity with compliance regulations and tax preparation processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP and Quickbooks.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and solve financial issues.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
